Our mission is to buy and give bicycles to underprivledeged school-aged children worldwide through the proceeds of our shirt sales and donations. These bikes are to provide a way for children to get to school and receive an education.
In 2008, UNICEF reported a 23% decrease in total school enrollment in the transition between primary school and secondary school in many countries like Thailand, Africa, India and others. Although primary schools are located in most villages, secondary schools are often located over two hours away on foot for many of their students.
Thus, when education becomes critical in determining many students' futures and livelihoods, they are often forced to drop out because of the two to three hour walk to and from school each day.
Many of these children come from uneducated families and, as they are forced to leave school early, they continue a path of poverty for their own children. Their education and brighter futures are sacrificed as they work on family farms or in textile factories.
Our goal is to provide increased access to education for the current and future generations of young student children.
